PALAU

We will travel to Palau - a small country in the Pacific islands where steaming is used universally for postpartum recovery. We will hear from indigenous practitioners the physical and spiritual importance of vaginal steaming.

KOREA

We will travel to Korea where steaming is a common practice both in spas and in hospitals. No country has studied steaming more than Korea. We will hear from doctors, researchers and spa steam practitioners to learn about why steaming is so valued. We will see a model of steamcare integrated into modern gynecology and learn about how steaming is recommended for all types of issues including infections, menstrual pain, infertility and even cancer.

CZECH REPUBLIC

In Czechia steaming is being used in maternity wards in over 30 hospitals. It is offered to women in labor as something that they can use to help with pain alleviation and labor readiness. Hospitals are finding that steam users have much faster labors, less birth injury (perineal tearing) and manage pain better. Now all of the hospitals in the area are racing to get trained. We will hear from doctors, nurses and patients who use steaming.

MOROCCO

In Morocco there is an ancient tradition of steaming but it has been nearly lost due to modernization of medical systems. Some Moroccan women aren't all the way satisfied with the care they receive in hospitals and have started to revive their ancient practice of steaming. We will talk to Moroccan steam users and practitioners to learn about what this revival looks like.

Steam Film Awarded $1.67M Donation!
Full Funding for Production

An individual donor has contributed $1.67 million dollars for the making of the documentary. With this donation our film will be completed from start to finish at the top level of quality from an award winning production company and director.
It's as good as done!
Now we're focused on raising money for what comes next - getting the film to viewers.

Fundraising for Post Production:
Steam Screening Block Parties?!

Our dream is to have steam screening block parties with steam vendors and pop-up steam spas in 10 cities worldwide.
In each city we would also visit key medical universities and host panel discussions with the steam MDs who appear in the film.
We also plan to hit the film festival circuit and (fingers crossed) win awards so that broadcasters are interested in getting the film to their viewers.

Donor Pledges to Match a Million Dollars in Contributions!

We have an angel donor who has pledged a match grant up to one million dollars to the film.
That means that every contribution that comes in will automatically double.
If we come together to raise $1 million dollars it will become $2 million.
Imagine how far and wide we can get the film with $2 million dollars for our impact campaign!
If 50,000 of us put in $20 each we could make it.
